As far as I can remember, I always did draw. My earliest memories were of getting in trouble for drawing my classmates art assignments. As a kid, comic books were my largest influence. I learned how to draw from them as well as used my He-man action figures as reference. Later on, I would discover Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Simon Bisley (Heavy Metal Magazine) and Hajime Sorayama.
In my early 20’s, I stumbled upon tattooing. It was accidental as I had no interest in it at first. I got talked into getting a tattoo one day and it was suggested to me that I could do it. Back then, tattoos were not nearly as popular as they are today. This was well before the first tattoo reality TV show (Miami Ink) came into existence. I served a short “apprenticeship” then was on my own to work in a few different shops in and around Toronto.
Today, I call Calgary Alberta home. I currently work at Jakku Tattoo. Check out my tattoo work in the tattoos section. Aside from working as a Tattoo Artist, I’ve been branching out to other art forms. Airbrushing and design as well as developing an online presence have become new spare time obsessions. In the future, I’ll be creating some great Merch designs!
