If you’re looking for a true artist, I would highly recommend getting a tattoo by Chris Moniz. I am currently in the process of doing some major cover up along with a full sleeve and what he was able to do on top of my old tattoos I never thought was possible!
Chris is a friendly person and makes the whole process very easy going which I really appreciate. His attention to detail and how he is able to translate his ideas to the final tattoo is amazing to watch unfold in front of your eyes!

I'm not sure I can say enough good things about Chris but I'll try. He is a laid back guy who is very serious about his art and craft. I am extremely happy with the end product and every step along the way. His prices are low considering the quality and attention to detail he has.
I came to Chris with a barebones concept, I laid out the framework and the general direction I wanted to go and then handed over creative control and he came up with an absolutely amazing tattoo design.
But make no mistake he made sure I was still very involved in the process making sure that everything was what I wanted and would be happy with. His process is unique (at least to me) that the sketch was done right on my arm and then transfered to paper to make sure it would be custom fit to the shape of my arm.

I can't recommend Chris enough to anyone who is thinking about getting a tattoo.

His attention to detail and creativity are exceptional, and his ability to make clients feel comfortable and ease throughout the entire tattoo process is unparalleled. We met Chris a few weeks back when we dropped a motorcycle helmet off for him. I showed him a photo of my pup and he drew up a draft tattoo for my arm. I went in today and has it done and the only thing I can say is beautiful. It is a work of art and I am so thankful we met him.

I saw Chris at Jakku tattoo for a memorial piece for my brother. I showed Chris a tattoo that my brother had and said he could give it his twist. Within a couple days he had a 3D version with my hand in and how it would sit. I was blown away. His attention to detail and effort he puts into his work is unbelievable. I have been to a few tattoo shops over the years and the atmosphere and Chris’ personality made it extremely relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a new artist Chris is your man, he will not disappoint. I already have another appointment with him for upcoming pieces and will share when they are complete!!

My tattoo journey started with Chris well over a decade now when he first moved to Calgary way back when. He did up a sick as music sleeve which gets compliments so often it is almost annoying haha! This is a testament to how freakin' fantastic he is at what he does. Pretty sure I am the only one he convinced to have their own foot used in a piece lol!
Chris is one of very, very few people who I would not just recommend for any tattoo work, but shove you in the door to get a piece done.
You will not be disappointed by Chris's work, and methodical approach!
